Behold the Power of Twitter


Razorfish Marketing came out with a study on Twitter this week and the results were a bit surprising. The results basically indicated that people following brands on Twitter were likely to engage with the brand from a consumer standpoint at a rather high level. Twitter is growing in stature and power every day, and the brands that are best utilizing it are harnessing a communication tool that many are simply leaving behind.

Listening is Powerful



Every marketing/social media/entrepreneur that I try and learn from preaches the need to listen to the consumer. I feel it is something major marketing companies don't do or simply overlook. In this video, Chris Brogan talks about building your brand by listening to people, as well as interacting with people to a much higher degree that traditional companies do with their consumers.

As a marketer, whether online or not, listening to the consumer, interacting with them, and embracing what they are saying, is something the new wave of marketers are doing. Brogan's video really struck a cord with me, mostly in the fact that you give credibility to your brand, and build a deeper connection with the consumer, if you simply listen (aka caring).
